Be the welcoming face that greets the public.
Our friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful volunteers are the face of the Wadsworth Atheneum. They sell tickets, direct visitors, seat theater-goers, assist in The Museum Shop and Auerbach Art Library, and offer a host of other talents. They add a personal touch to every visitor's art experience. There are no lack of opportunities, and everyone from college students to retirees is encouraged to take part. Purpose: Support the museum's administrative functions.
Qualifications: Museum members with all levels of skills and accomplishments are welcome.
Opportunities: Positions are available at the information desk, the Auerbach Library, The Museum Shop, the Aetna Theater, and elsewhere.
Requirements: All kinds of volunteers are needed. We ask that you volunteer for a period of six months. Every effort will be made to accommodate your area of volunteering interest and your scheduling requirements.
