Premier Membership has its privileges, and belonging to the Decorative Arts Council is just one. Here's a chance to join with true art connoisseurs to advance appreciation and preservation of sometimes historic and always exquisite hand-crafted objects. Your role rises above simple volunteering, as you'll help shape education and acquisitions to further the entire community's enjoyment of decorative arts.
Purpose: Further the appreciation, understanding, and preservation of decorative arts at the Wadsworth Atheneum.
Responsibilities: Sponsorship of education functions to promote broadened knowledge; support of the museum's Decorative Arts Department; and supplementing of funds for acquisitions, conservation, and facilities.
Qualifications: Museum membership at the premier level.
Perks: Lectures, seminars, social events, and opportunities to visit other museums displaying decorative arts.
